attempt和try区别_展全思梦

attempt和try均含有“试图，努力，力图”之意。attempt侧重已经开始且希望完成，但常隐含不一定有预期的结果。try可与attempt换用，但强调努力或尝试，后跟不定式表示努力或争取；后跟动名词表示尝试。

attempt用法

(1)The couple made an unsuccessful attempt at a compromise.

这对夫妇试图和解但未成功。

(2)I will attempt to answer all your questions.

我将努力回答你的全部问题。

(3)Do not attempt to repair this yourself.

不要试图自己修理这个东西。

(4)He attempted to end his trouble by suicide.

他想以自杀来了却他的心病。

(5)The emperor attempted to depose the pope.

皇帝企图废黜教皇。

try用法

(1)He secretly tried to block her advancement in the Party.

他暗地里设法阻挠她在党内的晋升。

(2)She tried her best to solve the problem.

她尽了***的努力解决这个问题。

(3)My partner and I have been trying for a baby for two years

我和爱人两年来一直想要个孩子。

(4)A mistake is a mistake. Don't try to explain it away.

错了就错了，不要辩解。

(5)Don't try to deceive me.
